Carbon Fiber Reinforced Carbon Composite (CFC)

CFC is a carbon material made by reinforcing graphite with carbon fiber and firing them. Lightweight, high strength, high elasticity and excellent resistance to corrosion and thermal shock and good friction characteristics, no decrease in strength is seen even in an under environment of 2000°C (3600°F) and it is used as a substitute for conventional metals, ceramics, resins, etc. as advanced heat resistant materials and friction materials.

Under vacuum or inert gas environment, CFC contributes to:
- energy saving with reduced process times
- productivity improvements and decreased manufacturing cost when used in heat-treatment processes such as carburizing, sintering and brazing

Applications

- CFC is used as an advanced material to replace conventional heat-resistant metals, ceramics and resins.

- Heat-resistant components in high temperature furnace (carburizing, sintering, brazing, diffusion bonding, soldering, etc.)

- Pick-up Parts of semiconductor

- Heater elements

- Parts of massive accelerator: Large Hadron Collider or LHC in CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), where our CFC materials are employed
