Yesterday I heard that Ms. Hanae Mori, a Japanese fashion designer of international repute passed away August 11, at 96 years old. I am sorry to hear about the loss.
The origin of our company is a company founded by Kenzo Tatsuno (deceased) in New York and he was respectfully called Mr. Tatsuno.
Long before I joined the company, I heard that Mr. Tatsuno had supported Ms. Hanae Mori to expand into New York. It's been a while and my memory is vague because it's an old story, but he talked to me about the difficulty of securing the venue for the show, and that Hanae Mori was a great woman.
Later in the year, Ms. Hanae Mori published a series of articles in the Nikkei Shimbun, Japanese WSJ titled “My Resume,” in which she wrote about Mr. Tatsuno.
I remember Mr. Tatsuno expressed his unsatisfactory feeling about the short description.
